1. Who is someone that inspires you today to be a better leader?
My kids Ty, Chase & Josie.
2. Looking back at the past 10 years what are some of your biggest mistakes that you learned from that you would share with others to not repeat the same thing?
Getting in front of God. Hurry up and wait should be a spiritual gift.
3. What is one mistake you witness leaders making more frequently than others?
Losing touch because of a lack of accountability.
What are the steps to avoid this mistake?
Have real accountability and lead transparently.
4. What are 3-4 keys in the "Making" of a Leader?
1. Find your sweet spot - the intersection of your greatest strength and greatest passion. 2. Step out far enough that only God can guide you or catch you. 3. Don't miss the moment for looking to the future. 4. Never quit, ever.
5. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
My dad told me my time would come, be patient but be ready.
6. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A U.S. Senator from Virginia.
7. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose?
