Is Your Church A Healthy Church?

As leaders, we all want to reach people with the love of Jesus and see lives transformed by the Gospel. In fact, we're so committed to this objective, we feel a great sense of urgency to organize, mobilize, and gather people around the message and the Man who changed our lives.

But what happens when our sense of urgency gets in the way?

The most effective tool for reaching those outside of our community are those inside of our community, and if those inside of our community are suffering, our mission to reach the lost and hurting will suffer, too. In order to transform The Church, first you have to transform people.

A healthy church is an effective church.

Is your church healthy?

My Healthy Church (MHC) is committed to promoting healthy people and healthy churches through Community, Discipleship, Evangelism, Compassion and Worship. Here are two resources MHC has made available for you this year.

Change Before You Have To by Rob Ketterling

Rob Ketterling, pastor of River Valley Church in Minnesota's Twin Cities, has learned the hard way that sometimes people wait too long to change. We'll start a new diet - next week. We'll work on our marriage - when life settles down. Before we know it we're forced to change, and we're not ready for it.

When we wait too long to change, often we miss out on the opportunities that God has placed right in front of us.

It is his own reluctance to change that prompted him to write his book titled, Change Before You Have To in which he challenges you to embrace change as part of an authentic and life-giving relationship with God.

The Live|Dead Journal

Do you have a heart for unreached people groups in other countries?

Do you ever wonder about the brave individuals who risk their lives on a daily basis to bring the Gospel to the world?

Missionary Advocate and Creative Director Charity Reeb worked alongside 35 missionaries living in unreached people groups in East Africa to compile this resource that will challenge you, inspire you and open your eyes to the work of missionaries in other parts of the world. The Live|Dead Journal is a compilation of art, stories and devotionals of people who know what it's like to risk life for the Gospel.

Grab this resource and take the 30-day challenge.

My Healthy Church is happy to share these resources with you.
