Love Your Calling: Part One

The story of Hosea is an incredible one. Time and time again his wife abandons him, disappoints him, and is unfaithful to Hosea, and yet in response to all of this God commands Hosea to, 

“GO AND LOVE YOUR WIFE AGAIN, EVEN THOUGH..."  

For almost all of us there has come a time when our assignment, our calling, our ministry has let us down. Maybe it didn't grow to the level we had dreamed of, maybe our team disappointed us, maybe we disappointed ourselves, sometimes even just the day in and day out grind of life has begun to wear us down until our creativity, excitement, and hopefulness towards the future is slowly drowned out by fatigue, exhaustion, and cynicism. It's in these moments, when we are on the cusp of giving up, that God may whisper to you, "Go and love your calling again."
