RESOLVED: Part One
Lysa TerKeurst
Some people came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Dead Sea. It is already in Hazezon Tamar.” 3 Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. (2 Chronicles 20:2-3)
You and I both know this is true, that even today there will be people and circumstances that we find set against us. The real question is, in that moment of pressure, what will we have filled ourselves with in order to either stand faithful to God, or to crumble under the pressure. We love Lysa’s idea of the First Five, in fact it’s something that our team has worked to adopt.
What if we really gave our very first five minutes of every day to God, to letting hiM pour into us and fill us up, so that when the pressure comes He is the one who shines through?
“We must be exchanging whispers with God before shouts with the world.”
This is part one of a four-part series from Lysa TerKeurst reminding us that external changes require internal shifts. Catch up here: Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
